A new twist in Janmagath

A new character to enter into Janmagath today.She is an old friend of Rucha and they will be meeting after many years.But there's twist to it.Incidentally she is also going to be a fiance of Aditya, Rucha's love interest.
Priya will also get Rucha to meet Aditya when she goes to Nashik. How will Rucha react when she comes to know that her close friend is the now a fiance of her ex-lover? Will Priya marry Aditya?Will all these things be difficult for Rucha?

Paule Chalati Pandharichi Vaat

Saam TV has proven best in the religious genre, where programs like “Aai Ambabai” (Kolhapur Mahalaxmi), Shri Gurudev Datta, Jyotiba Special, Maharashtrache Mahajyotirlinga etc. gathered viewers across Maharashtra.

Now on the occasion of  Palakhi Festival, Saam Marathi is planning a series of episodes called as ‘Paule Chalati Pandharichi Vaat’. This program will cover the actual track of “Santa Dnyaneshwar Palakhi”, from beginning (Alandi) till end (Pandharpur).

Palki festival showcases the distinctive feature of the Maharashtrian culture. This is a 1000-year-old tradition, which has been followed by the warkaris (people who follow the wari, a fundamental ritual). 

People perform collective singing, dancing, chanting (Dnyanba-Tukaram in what are called as Dindis or organised group of warkaris) to the holy town of Pandharpur in Hindu months of Ashadh (June-July) and Karthik (November-December). 

Palkhi Festival, which lasts for 22 days, starts in the month of Jyeshth (June). Every year on the eleventh day of the first half of the month of Ashadh, the Palkhi reaches Pandharpur. Every saint, right from Sant Dnyaneshwar to Sant Tukaram was following the wari tradition. 

In course of time, this tradition is becoming popular day by day. Nearly 1.5 lakh devotees proceed along with the Sant Tukaram Palkhi from Dehu village, while a total of 2.25 lakh devotees march along with the Sant Dnyaneshwar Palkhi

This Palakhi has some traditional halts. At these places the local devotees visit the Palakhi to seek ‘Darshan’ of their deity. En route to Pandharpur, the Palakhi rests @ Pune, Saswad, Jejuri, Walha, Lonand, Phaltan, Barad, Natepute, Malshiras, Taradgaon, Bhandi-Shegaon, Velapur, Vakhari from where it proceeds to its final destination.Our TV team with a OB Van will follow this Palakhi and will be present at all these rest points as well.
